Not to be outdone, Tucson’s own Arizona Daily Star polled its readers and asked them to select the Seven Wonders of the Soutern Arizona. They chose:

Mission San Xavier del Bac,
Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum,
Kitt Peak National Observatory,
A tie between Tumacacori Mission and Picture Rocks Petroglyphs,
Catalina Highway to Mount Lemmon,
Old Pima County Courthouse.
